Myanmar is one of the world’s developing countries, and the construction industry is growing exponentially. Since Myanmar is a developing country, having limited resources often happens in some of the construction projects. This sometimes creates quality related problems in construction projects and risks the integrity of the project. With the creation of new infrastructure has played an important role in Myanmar’s rapid economic growth, bridge project demands are increasing significantly for Myanmar's road network. This study aims to evaluate the design of a short span bridge for Myanmar's road network. The concept of loading is adopted from American Association of State Highway and Transportation Official (AASHTO) specifications. Live load for vehicle is used HS20-44 loading. For the proposed bridge, truck loading is used because of the bridge span is short span and it is simply supported. It was found that the maintenance cycle in Myanmar is not fully functional, as there are no standardized methods for inspection and repair, and the results of the inspections are not recorded in a database. However, efforts are underway to prepare a comprehensive manual for road bridges, and a database is being developed as part of the development project.
