The construction and design of new metro lines in Vietnam is now well underway. The first underground line was opened in Hanoi in 2021 and the second of the planned 8 lines is currently under construction. Two lines are also under construction in Ho Chi Minh City. But most of the underground lines in the two cities are at the design stage. This article will look at the experience of the construction and operation of subways in a friendly country such as Russia. We will talk about the Moscow Metro, which is the largest in terms of passenger traffic in Europe and the second largest in the world. The Moscow Metro is one of the ten longest subways, and also ranks first in intervals of trains and compliance with the timetable. The purpose of considering the Moscow Metro is to possibly use the vast experience of the design, construction and operation of subways in Russia by a friendly Socialist Republic like Vietnam.
